"Simply stated, Patti Murphy saved my life. More important than that was she saved my son's life. My son needed help, badly. We were referred to Patti, along with 2 other professionals who were very very good, but we felt at the time, and still do, Patti was the best. She was honest, up front, and direct. She told us the way it was, not always what we wanted to hear it. Within 30 minutes of meeting my son, one on one, she knew him like a book, and some things that I did not know about him. As impressed as my wife and I were with Patti, my son was even more impressed. He was willing to listen to her and comprehend what she was saying. Something that no one else was able to do. She supported him, and us. She recommended both wilderness programs and therapeutic boarding schools that would work with my son, in the manner he needed to be worked with. He went from a 16 year old, at-risk teenager, to a now junior in a major college, with a 3.25 GPA (she also helped us find great colleges for him to chose from. Out of the 9 universities that he applied to, he was accepted at all 9). More important then the grades, he is happy, and making a contribution with his life. I don't know exactly what would have happened to my son if I had not been introduced to Patti, but it is unlikely it would have been good. My son is healthy again, he worked very hard to become healthy again, but this would not have been possible without Patti. We all owe her a huge debt of gratitude...more then we will ever be able to repay. Life is good again!!!" - Dan C.
"Patti and her organization did a very timely and professional job of dealing with my son in time of crisis. She was able to match his unique psychological requirements with a facility providing the right level of care and therapy. Patti also understands the importance of playing the role of liaison between facility and significant other(s) while treatment is in progress. I strongly recommend Patti in any situation where so much is at risk. She is an expert in her field and does and outstanding job of matching her clients with the proper care." - George W.
"Patti Murphy saved our son's life. After 4 therapists and 2 schools Patti helped us with a local school placement as well as the perfect boarding school. She was the first person to really get us on the track to success. Our son is now very successful in his sophomore year at Northwestern University in Engineering and he is loving it. Thank you Patti!" - Jan N.
"Your knowledge, guidance and expertise helped move us in the direction. I have been keeping each and every letter Michael has written us. I find it interesting that not one has he questioned us as to why he was sent there. He did state he was confused as to what was expected of him at first and that the living conditions sucked but he was getting used to it. He hasn't sworn in any one of his letters either. It's not to say he loves it there and he hasn't been pouty but he is not fighting it as strongly as I imagined either. Which tells me another thing, he was ready. To say the least, Michael is a perfect candidate for that school. I feel confident he will do well. Other things have surfaced about Michael's state of mind and the direction he was headed before he was sent to (we took out the school's name). Which confirms to me even more how crucial our timing was. That is another reason I'm thankful for your diligence and patience. Working with Bruce and I wasn't an easy task. You do amazing work and I am even a little jealous. You are one of those people who not only get to do something you enjoy but you also get to help people. What a great combination. You have probably saved thousands of lives. I hope you can keep it up for as long as possible. I might be selfish in that statement but if you can't just make sure you train someone really, really well. A cone would be nice. :) I hope you don't mind, but I referred a couple of Michael's friend's parents to you. I will continue to spread your good name and work. We wish you all the best. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart." - Linda J.
"Patti and Jacy, Our family will be forever changed by your guidance and expertise. We can't thank you enough!" Lisa & David
"I am proud to inform you that Nick is graduating from High School next week with Honors. The road to this accomplishment has been neither smooth nor straight but with guidance and support, Nick has cleared this hurdle and has progressed nicely to the next. In the fall, Nick applied to and was accepted at five respected colleges/universities! The entire family, including Nick, was amazed and thrilled. Nick has chosen to go to George Mason University in Fairfax, VA next year because it has an outstanding program in Computer Game Design, which is his intended major. Besides learning to drive in May-June, this summer Nick will be taking 5-consecutive week long non-credit courses related to Computer Game Design in order to prepare for the fall semester. I acknowledge and thank you and JC for your unstinting efforts to help us find the right high school for Nick. (School name taken out) proved to be an excellent place for him to learn and mature. Here's hoping his tenure at GMU is as productive!" - Joelene C.
"Patti- I wanted to tell you what a pleasure it was to work with you! I felt extremely supported & validated throughout the whole process. I really appreciate your enthusiasm for your work and candor with your families. I always felt like I knew where I stood and you were open to dialog & brainstorm when things got difficult. Your families are lucky to work with such a gifted professional! It was fun to share the news of Norah with you! Thanks for being comfortable with our personal lives." - Neal
"Buck and I want to sincerely thank you for all your hard work and efforts over the last year in guiding us to the right answers for Lee's education and therapy and for leading us to (school). Your assessment of a program that would be the right fit for his individuality and his needs was remarkably precise and we are eternally grateful. We are so grateful to have him back and so grateful there is such a place as (school). It is a place where our son achieved self-value, confidence, peace and happiness and worked hard to attain his goals because of strong leaders and role models. They helped him to call upon his inner strength and the goodness deep inside that now shines through confidence and friendliness in his journey to find truth and meaning. You have given one more person the opportunity to find the path to believe in himself enough to reach for the stars and his own future and he has done well. Thanks again and we wish you the best!" - Karen and Buck B. *Lee graduated High School with Honors and gave a graduation speech. His parents were unprepared and ecstatic that so many of Lee's fellow classmates said that "seeing him make accomplishments and being positive while working on his own issues helped them trust that working on problems and helping others could really result in true change and happiness."
